Bhasker Shetty case : Judicial custody period of all 5 accused extended

Udupi, Sep 6,2016 : The JMFC Court here has on September 6, Tuesday extended the judicial custody period of all the five accused in the businessman Bhasker Shetty murder case, till September 19.

The accused namely Rajeshwari, wife of Shetty, Navaneeth, son, Niranjan Bhat, priest, Srinivas Bhat, his father and driver Raghavendra were produced before the court on Tuesday.

If Niranjan Bhat and Navaneeth Shetty were hitherto lodged in Hiriadka jail, they will now be shifted to  Mangaluru prison after the court permitted the same. Shetty’s wife  Rajeshwari is already lodged in Mangaluru prison.

Meanwhile, the other two accused Srinivas Bhat and Raghavendra will remain in Hiriadka prison itself. Both are facing charges of destroying evidences in the case.
