Bhasker Shetty case : Additional charge sheet filed by CID

Udupi, Jan 26, 2018: The CID which  is investigating into the case of murder of businessman Bhasker Shetty from Indrali in Udupi, has filed an additional charge sheet comprising 101 pages on January 25, Thursday before  the District and Sessions Court. The charge sheet was submitted by CID DySP  Chandrashekhar.

Earlier  the CID had filed  an 816 page charge sheet. A total of 20 new witnesses have been named in the case while several documents have been furnished as evidences.

Public Prosecutor   Shanthi Bai and advocate for accused Arun Bangera were also present  during the submission of the charge sheet.

Meanwhile Rajeshwari Shetty, Navaneeth Shetty and Niranjan Bhat, the main accused in the case who are presently lodged in Parappana Agrahara in Bengaluru were produced  before the court through  video conferencing.

Even the father of Niranjan Bhat and his driver who are accused of destroying evidences and are presently out on bail, were present in the court.

The next hearing is  slated to be held on February 9.
