Bharatanatya Rangapravesha at Town Hall today

Mangaluru, Oct 26, 2019: Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of Remona Evette Pereira is set at Town Hall, October 26, Saturday at 5 pm -today.

Dr Shrividya Muralidhar, Dance Director Sourabha Sangeetha Nritya Kala Parishath told media that Remona was studying in ninth standard at Paduva High School. She is being trained in semi-classical dance and western and contemporary dance for the past six years. She has also learnt Kuchipudi, Kathak, Yakshagana, and other art forms.

   The event will be presented by Sourabha Sangeetha Nritya Kala Parishath, Mangaluru. Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP and president, BJP, Karnataka, Capt Ganesh Karnik, former member and opposition Chief Whip, Karnataka Legislative Council, Sri Basavananda Swamiji, Seer, Shivananda Math, Bellari, Natyacharya Ullal Mohan Kumar, Natyaniketana, Kolya, Fr Francis Assisi Almeida, director, Sandesha Foundation, Mangaluru, will grace the event as chief guests. 

She started learning dance from the age of three. She has danced using glass pieces, glass tumbler, copper plate, mud pot, nail pad, wooden roll, hula hoop, and with flames on her head, with skating shoe, balancing multiple pots on head, preparing tea on head, and dancing with a stick tied to the leg and so on.

She has created records for India Book of Record, Bharat Book of World Record and Golden Book of World Record of London. Remona has bagged hundreds of prizes participating in innumerable competitions. The number of stage shows she presented is countless. All the trophies won by Remona will be exhibited during her Rangapravesha. She is the daughter of late Everest Rockson and Gladys Celine Pereira. This is a golden opportunity to watch her steps.
