The wall of Halajekere at Chibidre in Belthangady collapsed. Now, there is no wall restricting the water. If the water-level increases, water might flow onto the road, disrupting the vehicular movement.

The residents of Kathari Gudde and Anaru Colony are also fearing loss of connectivity if the water-level increases in the water body.

A student who was walking beside the water body accidentally slipped into it, however, he was saved by the timely action of the local residents.

A house, belonging Ramnath, collapsed following heavy rain at Ujire Olapete. Tahsildar, Ujire Gram Panchayat President and others visited the spot to assess the damage.

Following lack of stormwater drains, the rainwater flowed on the road near Ujire School, Belal Cross, Belthangady and Guruvayanakere causing inconvenience to the pedestrians and motorists.
