Belthangady : ’Walk for Peace’ inaugurated

Belthangady, Jan 30, 2019: A Walk for Peace (Shantigaagi Nadige) was organised at Belthangady on January 30 on the occasion of Martyrs Day to commemorate the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The event organised by Belthangady Taluk Sauharda Vedike was inaugurated by MLC and District Congress President K Harish Kumar at Santhekatte.

 

Rev Fr Lawrence Mukkuzhy,  Bishop of Belthangady Diocese presided over the function. He said  there can be peace in the society when everyone follows the ideals of the Mahatma.

Vedike Vice President Shridhar G Bhide and many others participated in the Walk for Peace.
