Belthangady: Young woman dies in bike-tipper collision

 Belthangady, Feb 1, 2014:A  young woman lost her life  in  collision between a bike and a tipper  at Badyar in Padangady village of Belthangady taluk on January 31, Friday.

 

The deceased is Jyothi (27), daughter of Srinivas Sheregar of Cherkady village in Brahmavar. The mishap took place when  Jyothi was   pillion riding the bike along with her friend Nagaraj Naik.

The tipper driven by Abdul Sharief which was proceeding from Venur knocked down their bike throwing Jyothi off guard. She fell on the road and was crushed to death by the tipper. The rider Nagaraj was also injured.

 The reckless driving of the lorry driver is said to be the cause of the accident.
