Belthangady: Woman dies; 2 injured as auto falls into river

Belthangady, Feb 04, 2023: A woman lost her life while two others sustained injuries after the autorickshaw in which they were travelling went out of control of the driver and rolled into the Mrtiyunjaya river at Mundaje Kapu late night on February 3, Friday.

 

The deceased is Safiya (57) of Kakkinje Kattarigudde. The autorickshaw was travelling to Kakkinje from Mundaje at around 11 pm when  the mishap took place. Though Safiya was immediately rushed to the hospital, her life could not be saved. Two others who were in the autorickshaw escaped with minor injuries.
