Belthangady : Two persons arrested with elephant tusks worth Rs 30 lakhs

Belthangady, Jan 08, 2020:  The Puttur Mobile Forest Squad  personnel who acted on a tip off have arrested two persons  who were transporting elephant tusks at Puduvettu in Dharmasthala village on  Tuesday night. Police have seized two  tusks  worth Rs 30 lakhs apart from a Omni van from the accused.

 

The arrested are Dinesh P K (35)  of Madikeri and Kumar A V (37) of Nadahalli in Sakleshpur taluk. The accused have been produced before court and remanded to judicial custody.
