Belthangady: Two high school boys drown while fishing

Belthangady, Mar 10, 2014:  Two Class IX students   from Belthangady have met a watery grave in the Nidigal river at Kalmanja in Belthangady on March 9, Sunday. It is learnt they had gone for a fishing expedition.

The deceased Sooraj and Aditya were students of Anugraha English Medium School of Belthangady. It has been gathered that the two who were unaware of the depth of water eventually drowned in an effort to save each other.

ZP President Koragappa Naika,several local leaders as well as the staff of the school rushed to the spot on hearing  about the tragic news. The bodies were retrieved by local divers.
Belthangady police have registered a case of unnatural death.
