Belthangady : Thieves make vain bid to burgle Padmunje branch of Canara Bank

Belthangady, Aug 17, 2016 : Thieves have made a vain attempt to burgle the Padmunje branch of Canara Bank on the night of August 15, Monday. The incident came to light only the next morning.

The thieves had managed to   cut the window  rods to enter the cabin, but  could not enter the strong room of the bank. However, the clever thieves have made good their way with the DVR Box which has the CCTV footages  and have even snapped the  wires connecting the alarm.

Uppinangady and Puttur police are conducting the investigations. Finger print experts and sniffer dogs  have also been pressed into service. The branch manager Deepak Raj has lodged a complaint.
