Belthangady : Four arrested for attacking cop, Home Guard on night beat

Belthangady, Jan 13, 2021:     Police have arrested four persons of Ujire on the charges of attacking  a cop and a Home Guard on night beat duty  near  the Janardhana Temple in Ujire. The incident had taken place on Monday late night when the accused reportedly even tore the uniforms of the two.

 

Those  arrested are Naveen, Kiran, Manjunath and Sabu. Constable Venkatesh and Home Guard Rajanna who were on  night beat near the Ujire gate had asked a group which  had gathered in the area to disperse when the latter  pulled  the two and even tore their clothes and threatened to kill them, the complaint lodged by the victims said.
