Belthangady : Clash between resort owner- customers ; complaints lodged

Belthangady, July 15, 2020:    A complaint and counter complaint has been lodged after  the owners and customers of the Hallimane Resort in Ujire clashed on Monday.

 

In one of the complaints  the resort owner Praveen and his   associates Manoj Kunjarpe, Prajwal, Ganesh Shetty, Sharath Kunjarpe and others have been accused of  grievously assaulting Girish and his friends.

It is being said that Girish and his friends Sandesh and Balakrishna Shetty had been to the resort  on Monday and  after having food had paid the bill and were coming out when the resort owner  Praveen and others  picked up a quarrel for no reason. It is also alleged that Sandesh had  snatched a cash of Rs 1,98,000, a gold chain weighing four sovereigns of Girish and another chain of Sandesh and  had  threatened to kill if a police complaint was lodged. In toto  cash  and gold worth Rs 1.5 lakh has been snatched the, complaint alleged.

In a counter complaint, Savitha Baptist (34) of Ujire Alike who is a partner of the resort has alleged that  the accused Sandesh, Balakrishna, Bharath and Girish who had come to the resort  seeking food and liquor had abused and assaulted when they were denied liquor.
