Belthangady: Absconding accused arrested

Belthangady, Dec 24, 2016: Person absconding from 21 years in connection with the crime in 1995 was arrested by Belthangady police.

The accused arrested is identified as Shankar Gowda (63) of Kadirudyavara.

Shankar Gowda was wanted in acid attck on Ganesh Prabhu of Ujire on 27 September 2016. Case was booked against him but he was absconding since then and police were in search for him. Finally have been successful in arresting him.

Investigations are in progress.
