Beltangady: 3-year-old dies after hit by auto-rickshaw

Beltangady, March 17, 2024: In a tragic occurrence, a three-year-old child was struck by an autorickshaw after darting onto the road from his residence on the morning of Saturday, March 16.

The victim, identified as Kaushik, the son of Chandrashekhar and Usha, residents of Panakaje Mundadi, tragically lost his life in this incident.

 

Chandrashekhar’s home is located adjacent to the main road in Panakaje.

The child suddenly dashed onto the road, where an autorickshaw was approaching. Despite attempts to rush him to a private hospital in Ujire and later to Mangaluru, the child tragically succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The Beltangady traffic police have initiated a case in connection with this tragic event.
