Belagavi woman ends life along with 2 children by jumping into Netravathi

Mangaluru, Nov 15, 2015:   A woman of Belagavi origin has   reportedly committed suicide  along with her two  children by plunging into the Netravathi river at Boliyar on November 14, Saturday.

 

The deceased woman is Annapoorna (33), while her children have been identified as 13 year old Tara and  10 year old Parashuram. The family hailed from Saundatti in Belagavi and were plantation workers employed by Ismail of Boliyar. It is learnt, they were working in Ismail’s plantation since one month.

The police have shifted the bodies to Wenlock Hospital. The reason behind the extreme step of the woman is not known.

Investigations are underway.
