Beedi workers stage protest against ’injustice’ by PF Department

Mangaluru, Sep 24, 2019: Beedi workers under the aegis of the HMS staged a protest in front of the Provident Fund office at Falnir on September 24, Tuesday alleging injustice to them by the PF Department.

 

Addressing the protestors, Mohammad Rafi,  DK and Udupi District President of Karnataka Karavali Beedi Workers’ Union said the workers who are already in problem due to new rules and regulations of the PF Department  are in for more trouble as they are being harassed even for some  minor corrections in   records of EPF contributors.

M Sureshchandra Shetty, Honorary President of the Association, Harish K S, General Secretary and others were present.
