Beary Academy distributes food kits to needy writers, artistes

Mangaluru, April 17, 2020:   Food kits were distributed to as many as 100 needy Beary  poets, writers and artistes’ on behalf of the  Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy at a simple ceremony held at the Academy office on April 17, Friday. The service initiative during the lockdown was taken up as per the guidance of Kannada and Culture Minister C T Ravi. DK District in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary distributed the kits to the beneficiaries.

 

 

 

 

Speaking on the occasion, Poojary said this   move by the Beary Academy must be emulated by other Academies, Boards and Corporations so that the needy will benefit.

Mayor Diwaker Pandeshwar, ZP Chief Meenakshi Shantigodu, Beary Academy President Rahim Uchil, Registrar Poornima, Member Abdul Razak Salmara and others were present.
