Beach Life Guards rescue three drowning women at Ullal

Mangaluru, Oct 17, 2015 : Three women who were drowning in the  sea at Ullal were rescued and brought ashore by members of the Shivaji Life Guards Squad on October 16, Friday.

The rescued women are Noor Jahan (35) and Nafia (30) of Bengaluru and Khairunnisa (28) of Madikeri. All the three were relatives.

The mishap took place when the trio were having fun in the waters along with their family members. A total of ten members from   three families had visited the beach after offering prayers at the Ullal Darga.

 The women were  admitted to a private hospital in Tokkottu. One of them was later shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru as her condition was said to be critical.

The Life Guards who rescued the three women are Shivan Bangera, Dhanraj Putran, Dikshit Karkera, Sudhir, Kishore and Roshan Suvarna.
