Bava requests minority votes for Congress

Mangalore May 8: Moideen Bava, the district president of minorities of the Congress, said that a large number of minority candidates from the Congress are contesting in the GP polls this year. He appealed to all minorities to vote for the Congress. He was addressing press persons at a press meet organized in the district Congress office on May 8, Saturday.

Mr. Bava accused SDPI and KFD parties of playing spoilsport and dividing minority votes. The will only help the BJP win, he warned. Informing press people that KFD and SDPI candidates are contesting only from areas populated by Muslims, he requested the minorities not to get carried away and unwittingly help the BJP emerge victorious. 

Attacking the BJP, Mr. Bava said that the BJP only boasts and shouts slogans, but it cannot even keep its promises. 

Gretta Rebello, Ivan D’Souza, Sathish Banagal, Stephan, Khaled, Idinabba, and Yusaf were present for the press conference.
