Bantwal: Woman jumps into Netravathi river from moving train

Bantwal, Feb 15, 2024: A woman has ended her life by jumping into the Netravathi river from a moving train on February 15, Thursday morning.

 

The deceased is Nayana M G (27) of Tumakuru district. The identity was established on the basis of an Aadhaar card found in the bag of the woman.

The woman who was travelling in the Kannur-Bengaluru-Mangaluru  train had jumped from the train into the river when the train was crossing the Netravathi bridge. The railway personnel found the bag of the woman in the seat in which she was seated. The reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained.
