Bantwal : Two ganja peddlers and 30 Gamblers arrested

Mangaluru, June 11, 2016 : In Mangaluru,  The security staff at Mangaluru jail arrested two people for allegedly supplying ganja to an inmate. The arrested were Ranjan Kottari (20) from Kannur and Deekshith Poojary (22) from Bantwal.

It is said that they had hidden 30 grams ganja in a tiffin box supposed to be given to Harish, an inmate. The jail staff found the ganja while checking the food. It is said that the accused supplied the ganja on instructions from Jagadish. The duo was handed over to the Barke police for further inquiry.

In Bantwal,  CCB police raided a gambling club located in a hotel at BC Road. It is said that the police conducted a raid and arrested more than 30 people while four managed to escape. Local police had no information regarding the raid.  Sources say that the people had assaulted each other with soda bottles a few days ago.
