Bantwal: TP member accuses BJP supported candidates of Amtady of poll code violation

Bantwal, May 27, 2015: A Taluk Panchayat member has filed a complaint with the returning officer and nodal officer alleging that  some BJP supported candidates from Amtady have violated the election code of conduct by distributing hand outs with photographs of BJP leaders.

 

The complainant Epriam D’Souza has named Babita Kotian, a former president of the gram panchayat, Chetan, Sudhaker Shetty, Yashoda, Ratnavati Marla, Harish Shetty and Dharmanna Bangera as the accused.

The complainant has alleged that the pamphlets distributed by the accused had photographs of PM Narendra Modi, National BJP Chief Amit Shah, State BJP Chief Prahlad Joshi and others.

The complainant has also accused the candidates of resorting malicious propaganda against their rivals who are Congress supported candidates.
