Bantwal : Priest dies in tragic road mishap; family members suffer minor injuries

Bantwal, Feb 03, 2017:  The chief priest of the Lord Anantheshwara Temple at Vittal lost his life while his family members sustained minor injuries  when the  Fortuner car which  he was driving met with an accident near the S V S College late night on February 2.

The deceased has been identified as Karthik Bhat (38). It is believed that  Bhat lost control over his vehicle which veered off the road resulting in his death.

Karthik’s father Vijay Bhat,  mother Deepa Bhat and children  Adya and Atharva who were also in the car suffered minor injuries.

The family was returning home  after  performing pooja at the Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari shrine.

 Local police have registered a case.
