Bantwal : Over 130 persons arrested in raid on two recreation clubs

Bantwal, Apr 15, 2019: Bantwal police have arrested over 130 persons in raids on two recreation clubs in the town on April 14, Sunday evening. The raids followed  suspicion that gambling was underway and that video games were played there without any license.

Two teams conducted simultaneous raids on the clubs located at two commercial complexes.

The raiding teams also seized gaming cards, mobile phones, cash among other items. Interestingly the illegal activity was underway in the complexes located close by the police station.

It has been reliably gathered that some of those who were in the complex even  threw their gold and other valuables down from the building during the raid in order to escape the eyes of the raiding team.

The raid continued till late night.
