Man Injured in Mani Junction Accident Dies from InjuriesBantwal, Sep 12, 2014: Reports confirm, one Yogish Bhandary (40) from Boliyar village in the taluk who was injured at Mani junction on Sept 10, succumbed to the injuries died at a hospital in Mangalore on Sept 12. 

His wife Pavitra (35) died soon after the accident took place. Their daughter Prapti (3) sustained minor injuries.  The three of them were riding on Yogish’s bike when the road accident took place.

The accident happened when a private plying to Puttur from Mangalore was turning  right on Mani-­Mysore road, and hit Yogish’s bike coming from Uppinangady at Mani Junction.

Both Pavitra and Yogish, who were seriously injured along with infant Prapthi, who sustained minor injuries, all  were shifted to a private hospital in Mangalore after the accident.  Pavitra died on the same day. Yogish battled for life for two days and passed away on September 12.
