Bantwal: Maanila Gram Panchayat employee ends life

Bantwal, June 29, 2016 : A young woman who was an employee at the Maanila Panchayat office has  reportedly ended her life by jumping into a pond  at Muchirapadavu on June 28, Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Akshatha (23), daughter of Ananda. She was  serving the newly formed Maanila Panchayat since the past 18 months. She had earlier served in Peruvai  Panchayat.

It is being said that Akshata who was  quite normal on Tuesday morning had left office after complaining of head ache only to be found dead  later on.

Though the exact reason  that might have driven her to the extreme step is not known, sources said she was  disturbed owing to some politics in the Panchayat office.

A case has been registered by Vittal police.
