Bantwal : House near Maani burgled ; cash, jewels stolen

Bantwal, July 03, 2019: Thieves who broke into a house at a place called Gadiyara near Maani by dislodging the roof tiles, have decamped with jewellery weighing 35 sovereigns and Rs one lakh cash.

 

The theft came to light on Wednesday morning. Muhammad Rafiq who was  a tenant in this house owned by Hamza had been to a  relative’s house at Uppinangady Shantinagar the previous night. The burglary came to light when the family returned in the morning.

Police officials, finger print experts and dog squad are at the spot. Further investigations are in progress.
