Bantwal : 2 arrested for threatening ASHA worker

Bantwal, April 04, 2020:  Two men have been arrested on the charges of threatening an ASHA worker in  Bantwal. The arrested are  Marappa Poojary and Umesh of Amtady.

 

The ASHA worker Tulasi (48) had spoken to Nitesh of Kinnibettu and Jayanth of Kalayi over phone  on April 1 and had enquired about their health as both of them had returned from Gulf.

The same evening, the two accused as well as relatives of Nitesh had called Tulasi  and abused her and even  warned her of dire consequences.

Following this, the ASHA worker had lodged a complaint with the Bantwal police.
