Bantwal : 1 injured in clash between workers of 2 parties at Nandavar

Bantwal, May 10, 2018: One person was injured and had to be hospitalised  following a clash between  workers of two political parties over a trivial issue near the Nandavar Temple on May 9, Wednesday night.

The incident occurred when BJP workers who had attended a meeting held at a party member’s residence  at Nandavar were returning. Sources said workers of another party had then shouted slogans denouncing them resulting in the clash.

Bantwal police had to resort to a mild lathi charge to  disperse the crowd.

Security has been stepped up in the area following the incident.
