Bannaje Raja associate Javed arrested

Mangalore, Sep 10, 2011 : Javed alias Ajay, who is originally from Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested and remanded to 12 days of police custody.

On Aug 25, the police in Mangalore had arrested 7 associates of Bannanje Raja at Kottara Chowki for shooting at a Mangalore-based builder and had seized 3 revolvers, 2 cars, and a few mobile handsets. The seven had shot at Suresh Bhandary of Prithvi Developers at Kadri Park.

On Aug 19, another associate of Bannaje Raja had shot at the cashier of Airody Jewellers in Udupi before escaping on a bike. The UP police have arrested Javed in

connection with this attack.
