Mangaluru, Nov 21, 2014: Pranavananda Swami, the President of Akhila Bharata Hindu Mahasabha has said that a Bangalore Chalo march will be initiated on November 29 to thwart the Kiss of Love protest planned on that day in the capital.
Speaking to reporters here on November 21, Friday, he also warned that his volunteers who will be armed with wooden sticks would attack those who participate in the campaign.
Pranavananda also claimed that a cash reward of Rs 1001 will be given apart from “Dharmraksha Deekshe” to those who join the cause and participate.
The Hindu Mahasabha Chief also said that “Several well-wishers and MLAs and MPs have agreed to support the endeavour.” However, he declined to name the MLAs when asked by scribes to reveal the names of those who have agreed to support the Bangalore Chalo.
Lashing out at the Kiss of Love campaign, he said it was not Indian culture and strongly suspected the hands of Christian missionaries behind it.
He was also critical of the state government for permitting the campaign and added he would hold an indefinite dharna in front of the DC office in the city on November 26 to protest against the campaign.
Pranavananda further criticised senior Congress leader Janardhana Poojary for his silence on the issue.
