Baliga murder case: Delegation meets Minister Rai; seeks early arrest of key suspect Naresh Shenoy

Mangaluru, May 25, 2016: A delegation comprising All India Rationalists Federation President Prof. Narendra Nayak and the family members of the slain RTI activist Vinayak Baliga, met D District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai on May 24, Tuesday and submitted a memorandum to him with an appeal to initiate measures to arrest the key suspect in the case, Yuva Brigade leader Naresh Shenoy at the earliest. It may be recalled here that Vinayak Baliga was hacked to death close by his house at Kodialbail on March 21.

Rai is learnt to have informed the delegation that  the police have informed  him that Shenoy has been changing his hide-out frequently making it difficult to arrest  him. He also assured all out efforts on the part of the Department to apprehend him.
The delegation included B Ramachandra Baliga, the father of Vinayak Baliga and his younger sister Harsha.

Meanwhile, it has been gathered that the hearing into the anticipatory bail application of Naresh Shenoy has been adjourned by the High Court till May 30.
