Mangaluru, July 1, 2016 : The Third JMFC Court in Mangaluru has rejected the application moved by the lawyers of Naresh Shenoy, prime accused in the RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case, to permit him to get admitted to a private hospital for treatment on the grounds that he suffered from kidney ailments.
The appeal was rejected after Asha Nayak, the advocate for Vinayak Baliga’s father raised objection to the same and stated that Shenoy has already been subject to medical tests prior to taking him to police custody and that the reports were normal.
The Court which on June 30 extended the police custody period of Shenoy for another two days has however not decided on the application moved by Chief Investigation Officer of the case ACP Tilak Chandra seeking permission to subject Shenoy to brain mapping and narco analysis test.
