Bajpe public traps "CBI Officers"

Mangalore, June 11, 2014: The wise plans of four persons to make a quick buck, by posing as CBI officers disappeared into thin air. Local residents could not be fooled and ripped the masks of one of the  gang on June 10.

Mohammed Sharif, a resident of Vamanjoor was arrested.  Four persons approached one Ansar, a resident of Jerynagara in Bajpe two days ago and had introduced themselves as CBI officers.

The ’CBI officers’ even showed a fake ID card and threatened to trap him,  book a case and also to seize his valuables.


  The gang also threatened him of acid attack and injecting Aids virus. Succumbing in fear to the pressure from ‘fake officers,’ Ansar agreed to pay Rs 50,000 in two installments. Accordingly, he was to pay Rs 25,000 on June 10.


In the meantime, Ansar informed some  local  folks, who in turn waited for the ‘CBI officers’ to arrive and Trapped one of the members of the gang, others took to thier heels.  Other accused are Salam, Sharma and Hameed. They will be nabbed soon says a report.
