Mangalore, jan 7, 2014: The Bajpe police have registered cases against senior RSS leader Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat and another Hindu activist Chakravarthi Sulibele on the charges of delivering provocative speeches thereby hurting religious sentiments during the Hindu Sangama organised at Vajradehi Mutt premises at Gurupur on January 5, Sunday.
The two have been booked under Sections 153(A) and 295(A) on the basis of a complaint filed by Mohammad Usman of Gurupur.
It is learnt, in his address during the function, Prabhaker Bhat had hurled criticisms against the Muslim youth and Christian religious leaders and even offended the religious rituals of the two communities.
Sources said Bhat in his speech also took exception to the Hijab practice among Muslim women and also offended Muslim men by saying they were ‘handicapped’ as they undergo ‘circumcision.’
It has even been learnt that Bhat even asked children studying in Christian schools not to address the priests as Fathers at any cost and to only call them ‘Padris.’
