Bajilakeri clash : Cops arrest 11 accused

Mangaluru, July 15, 2020:    Mangaluru North  Police have arrested 11 persons  in connection with the Monday late night clash between two groups at Bajilakeri.

 

The enemity between the two groups led by Ajay Prasad and Abdul Rashid is said to be the reason behind the clash. It has been gathered that the visit of Rashid gang to Bajilakeri on Monday night was resented by Ajay Prasad  and his accomplices resulting in the clash wherein both sides  used lethal weapons.  The clash had left Ajay Prasad, Abdul Rashid, Gururaj and Vijay Prasad injured.

Those arrested in connection with the incident include members from both groups. The arrested have been identified as Ajay Prasad, Vijay Prasad, Gururaj, Abdul Rashid,  Jiyad Ayyub, Mohammed Ashiq, Mohammad Imran, Safwan, Mohammad Nawaz,  Nawaz Shariff and Mohammad Hanif. One of the accused is said to be absconding.
