Bairadi lake to be revived, MLA Lobo

Mangaluru, Feb 20 2018: Speaking after inspecting the work on the Bairadi Kere at Padil,  MLA J R Lobo said that the state government has given special emphasis on the development of lakes. The work on development of several lakes has been initiated in Mangaluru.

 

 

 

 

The legislator said, “The Minor Irrigation Department has sanctioned Rs 80 lakh while th eMangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) has released Rs 2.20 crore for the development of the Bairadi Kere. The work to construct a retaining wall around the lake has been started by the Minor Irrigation Department.”

Further, he said work on a garden adjacent to the lake and laying walking tracks will also be taken up.
