Baikampady Industrial Area in distress due to water logging

Mangaluru, May 29 2018: Heavy rains that have been lashing various parts of the city and its outskirts since Tuesday morning has caused artificial floods in Baikampady Industrial Area. Water has entered several factories resulting in huge losses.

Some factory owners  have said that  this was the first time that the situation has turned so grave  in the past several years.

The failure of the authorities to clear up clogged side drains and to take sufficient precautionary measures  after raising the heights of the road during  concretisation has led to the present problem, opined many people.
