BSY allegations politically motivated, says CM Siddaramaiah

Mangaluru, Oct 22, 2017: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the allegations  hurled at him and Energy Minister D K Shivakumar by State BJP Chief Yeddyurappa regarding a scam of Rs 447 crore in the KPCL, were totally baseless and  politically motivated.

The Chief Minister was speaking to reporters after arriving at the Mangaluru Airportb on October 22, Sunday on his way to Bantwal. Siddaramaiah also stated that the allegations were made  with an eye on the next elections.

Referring to the opposition by the BJP  for Tipu Jayanthi celebrations, the Chief Minister said his government was firm in its decision to celebrate  Tipu’s birth anniversary. "Leaders will be invited as per the protocol, to attend or not is left to their discretion, he added.

Siddaramaiah arrived along with his cabinet colleagues D K Shivakumar and Roshan Baig.

A host of Congress leaders including DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai, MLAs  JR Lobo Shakuntala Shetty, Moidin Bava, MLC Ivan D’Souza, Mayor  Kavitha Sanil and others were present.
