BSNL Launches 3G GSM Mobile Voice and Data Service

Mangalore, March 6: Mangalore, Mar 6: Krishna J Palemar, the district-in-charge minister, launched BSNL’s 3G GSM mobile voice and data service at Hotel Gateway on March 6, Saturday. He said that the launching of 3G mobile service in the growing district of DK is a great achievement on the part of BSNL.

Mentioning the fact that BSNL is the oldest telecom company in DK, which has provided high quality services ever since its inception, the minister said that the company’s new services will be of great use for the police department because it enables them to obtain the required information with greater ease.


The 3G mobile service eliminates possibilities of falsehood because it gives a clear picture of the existing situation and about the people using it. This service must reach every citizen, he said.

The 3G mobile service enables the subscribers to get a range of upgraded services, including rich voice and data and video services. 3G makes possible video streaming applications such as live TV, movie downloads and high-speed data download.

 

Callers can also see each other on their mobile phone screens. Additional services planned are video on demand, games on demand, music, m-commerce, multimedia, telemedicine, eeducation and e-governance.


Managing Director of Karnataka Bank P Jayaram Bhat launched the data card through web access.


PGM DKTD Y C Mishra made the welcome speech; P Raghavan, ITS, CGMTelecom of Karnataka Circle delivered the presidential address. R Mani, the general manager of Karnataka Circle, proposed the vote of thanks.
