BJP wins Vittal, Kotekar Town Panchayat polls

Mangaluru, April 28, 2016 :  The BJP has won the elections to the Kotekar and Vittal Town Panchayats which were held on April 24, Sunday.

The BJP emerged victorious in nine seats  and the Congress in four in Kotekar. The SDPI and the CPI(M) have won one seat each. The BJP had contested in 14 seats. The Kotekar Town Panchayat has a total of 17 seats.

 In Vittal, the BJP won in 12 seats, while the Congress bagged six seats. The Vittal Town Panchayat has a total of  18 seats.
