BJP supporting sand mafia, alleges Minister Rai

Mangaluru Feb 16: 2016: "No one but former minister Krishna Palemar is behind the sand scam. The Congress party has always opposed illegal sand transportation," said DK  District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai.

 

 

Speaking to the Press at Congress office on February 16, Tuesday, Rai said that it is difficult to acquire sand from non CRZ. Sand can be mined  from CRZ only after renewal of permit, he added and accused the BJP of consistently supporting sand mafia.

Several instances of crime are taking place in the name of religion, he alleged and  accused the BJP  leaders of supporting the accused in some cases.

Congress leaders AC Vinay Raj, Mithun Rai, Shashidhar Hegde, Suresh Ballal and others were present.
