BJP stages protest against Mayor

Mangaluru, Oct 31, 2017:  A protest was staged by the BJP in front of the MCC office building at Lalbagh on October 31, Tuesday demanding the resignation of Mayor Kavitha Sanil over the recent incident wherein in the  Mayor allegedly assaulted the wife of the watchman of the apartment complex where she stays.

 

Corporator Sudhir Shetty who addressed the protestors, alleged that the Mayor had shown her muscle power with the wife of the watchman.  He also alleged that  the Mayor’s act of raiding massage parlours and disconnecting illegal water connection of only one building, only  aimed at garnering publicity. He also pointed out that there were several massage parlours in the city and also  nearly  20,000 illegal water connections.

Former mayor Ganesh Hosabettu also spoke on the occasion.
