BJP protest, demands action against Amnesty

Mangaluru, Aug 25,2016: The BJP, Bharatiya Janata Party activists on Aug 24, Wednesday put up as strong protest demanding action against Amnesty International India for alleged anti-India comments. The BJP activists also condemned the police excesses on protesting ABVP,  Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad activists. Addressing the protesters, MLC Ganesh Karnik said that it was sad that the State government has not come out strongly against groups raising Anti-India slogans.

He said that there was an inordinate delay in initiating action against Amnesty International India that had organised the event. He accused Amnesty International India of supporting groups that are speaking against India.  President of BJP’s Mangaluru South Assembly unit D. Vedavyas Kamath and the former district BJP unit spokesperson Monappa Bhandary also spoke. There was a strong rally of participants.
