BJP demands apology from Sorake for ‘expert’ comment on Shobha

Udupi, Nov 25, 2014: ‘An expert in kissing’ remark  which Udupi District in-charge Minister Vinaykumar Sorake has made targeting Udupi-Chikmagalur MP Shobha Karandlaje has drawn flak and has sparked protests by the BJP.

 

On November 24, Monday, the BJP staged a protest near the Clock Tower in the city  and demanded an apology from Sorake for his remarks.

Udupi District BJP Mahila Morcha President Sheela K Shetty  said campaigns like Kiss of Love should not be permitted as  they will have an adverse effect on the society as well as youngsters as it was   against Indian culture. She also said there are other ways to prevent harassment of women.

Several BJP leaders including Tingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, Udupi District BJP President, Raghavendra Kini, town unit President, Shyamala Kunder, State Secretary and others were present during the protest.
