BJP Yuva Morcha stages protest; asks CM, Home Minister to quit

Mangalore, July 19, 2014 : The BJP Yuva Morcha organised a protest at the PVS circle in the city on July 18, Friday    against the ‘failure’ of the state government in checking crime against women. The protestors alleged that the government was hesitating to take action against rapists. They also demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Home Minister KJ George for failing to effectively tackle the issue.

Ravishanker Mijar, President of the Yuva Morcha said  the recent incidents have developed a feeling of insecurity  in women.  He said the state stood third in the list of states where atrocities on women was the highest.

Several Yuva Morcha workers participated in the protest.
