BJP Yuva Morcha has no ‘morality’ to hold ‘Mangaluru Chalo’ bike rally : Mithun Rai

Mangaluru, Sep 4,2017: Addressing the media at the District Congress office, Mr. Mithun Rai, the president of the District Youth Congress said that the BJP Yuva Morcha has no ‘morality’ to hold the ‘Mangaluru Chalo’ bike rally on September 4, 2017. He said that the main reason for the rally was merely to drum up support to ban the Popular Front of India, hand over the murder cases of Hindu activists to the CBI and to demand the resignation of Minister, Ramanath Rai.
Mithun also said that the members of Bajrang Dal and Hindu Jagarana Vedike are also involved in many murder cases. He said that the PFI, HJV and Bajrang Dal are firstly communal organizations. “If they want to ban PFI let them also demand to ban Bajrang Dal and HJV,” he said.
Taking a swipe at the opposition he said, “In Sharath Madival case, the PFI leaders are involved and in the Kalayi murder case the Bajrang Dal leader has been arrested. So both the communal organizations should be banned.”
Alluding to the volatile nature of politics in the region, he also said that the people of Dakshina Kannada want to live in peace and if the BJP Yuva Morcha holds a bike rally it will surely lead to communal violence. “We the Youth Congress oppose the Mangaluru Chalo Bike rally because we want the people in DK to live in peace and harmony.”
Mithun Rai further added that for peace to prevail, both the communal organisations would need to be banned. DK is known as an education hub and is the fast growing district but for some years, due to communal violence in the area, many multinational companies have refused to set up office in Mangaluru.
“The agenda of the BJP is to create communal violence in the district for vote bank. If the rally is organized there will surely be violence. The rally is to hand over some of the murder cases to the CBI, but we demand that all murder cases including that of Vinayak Baliga, Karthik Raj, Praveen Poojary Kundapur, Harish Poojary and Pratap Poojary also be handed to the CBI. When even those five youth are Hindus why they are not including them in the list of cases to be handed over to the CBI?”
Mithun also said, “In the Harish Poojary murder case the BJP and Sangh Parivar had targetted Minister Ramanath Rai but when the case was cracked the BJP realized that the accused were Bhuvith and Mithun from the Sangh Parivar and stopped agitating. Recently Harish Punja spoke about the resignation of Ramanath Rai. As we know Minister Rai is a hardcore secular politician. Shobha Karandlaje, Sadanand Gowda, Ananth Hegde visited Mangaluru to facilitate the defeat of Ramanath Rai, recently Pratap Simha also visited Mangaluru. Even if another 10 MPs come to Mangaluru to defeat Ramanath Rai they will not be able to defeat him, instead, he will get more votes.”
Supporting Mr Ramanath Rai, Mithun said that the seasoned politician had no corruption or land scam accusations against him. “On what grounds is Harish Poonja demanding his resignation?”, he demanded.
The press meet also saw Mr. Rai attack the BJP Yuva Morcha District President Harish Poonja over remarks the latter had made regarding Mr. Ramanath Rai being a sort of ‘Hitler’ figure.
“I think Harish has no knowledge of Nazism and Hitler. He is not matured in politics. RSS leaders Madhav Sadashiv Golwalkar and Vinayak Damodar Savarkar followed the Nazism in our country. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi is doing the same. Harish Poonja should know who is practicing Nazism.”
Vice President of District Youth Congress Lukman Bantwal, Prasad Malli, Suhail Kandak, Utham Alva, Shoib, Varun Ambat and others were also present.
