Attempting to sell ganja 5 in police net

Udupi, Mar 28, 2016:  Reports say that the police have managed to  arrest a suspect in Udupi and four others from Manipal for their alleged involvement in attempts to sell ganja.

The arrested have been identified as Laxminarayana Bhat (64), Mohammad Tansil (20), Arun (36), Vikalpa Shukla (20) and Bharath (19).

The police were informed that Bhat would be waiting for customers at the city bus stand in Udupi with a plastic bag. They rushed to the spot and found 1.5 kg ganja worth Rs 30,000.

A case was registered at Udupi town police station.   The police also conducted a raid at a tempo stand in Manipal, arrested four people and seized 260 grams of ganja. Manipal police are further investigating. .
