Attack on scrap dealer in Vamanjoor: Two arrested

Mangaluru, Jun 25, 2018 : Police  have arrested two persons on June 25, Monday in connection with attack on Khalid (45) of Ulaibettu in Vamanjoor.

 

 

The accused arrested are Nawaz alias Nawwa(25)of Gurpur and Mohammed Shahrukh alias Sharu(22) of Moodushedde.

Acccording to the complaint the incident occurred on June 24, sunday when Khalid was about to close his shop. Six men  approached him and reportedly demanded hafta. When Khalid turned down their demand they attacked him with iron rods and even abused him. Khalid had identified three of the accused  as Rahif, Nawaz and Mustafa.

Nawaz  and Mohammed Shahrukh have  been taken to police custody, there are several cases against the duo. Hunt for the other accused is on.
