Attack on Farangipete studio owner : 3 arrested

Bantwal, Oct 29, 2020:    Three persons have been arrested in connection with the murder attempt on a studio owner at Farangipete on October 28, Tuesday night.

Those arrested are Muhammad Arshad (19), Abdul Rahman (22) and Muhammad Saifuddin (22). Another accused Sawad is absconding.

 Dinesh  Kottinja, the owner of Trisha Studio at Farangipete in Pudu village  was attacked by a group of four persons on the pretext of  customers and had inflicted stab injuries on Dinesh. A person named Shekhar Poojary who was  at the studio had  tried to prevent the  attack by  throwing a  chair at the assailants. Even he  was injured in the process.

 It has been gathered that Dinesh had  supported the family of a young woman in a case of sexual harassment at Kumpanamajalu near Farangipete. The attack took place in order to avenge this, police said.

 

 

Senior police  officials have visited the place.
